The Hidden Halo Foundation Privacy Notice

Last Updated: January 2026

At The Hidden Halo Foundation ("we," or "us"), we value the privacy of individuals who use our websites and related services (collectively, our "Services"). This Privacy Notice explains how we collect, use, and share the personal information of users of our Services ("users," "you," or "your"). By using our Services, you agree to the collection, use, disclosure, and processing of your information as described by this Privacy Notice.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information from various sources to better serve our community of veterans, children, and "hidden halos".

  • Registration & Volunteer Information: When you express interest in volunteering or sign up for updates, we collect your first and last name, email address, telephone number, and mailing address. This information is used solely to contact you regarding your volunteer interests and our mission.
  • Communications: If you contact us directly (e.g., via thehiddenhalofoundation@gmail.com), we may store the contents of your message and contact details to assist with your inquiry.
  • Events & Sponsorships: For events like "Season of Halos" or "Bags of Hope," we collect information necessary to facilitate your participation, such as gift preferences or donation details.
  • User Content: Any content you share publicly (posts, reviews, or comments) may be visible to other users.

2. Marketing and Email Communications

We may ask for your consent to send you marketing or promotional emails, including updates on our clothing drives or laundry relief efforts.

  • Opt-Out: You may choose to stop receiving these emails at any time. To unsubscribe, simply click the "unsubscribe" link in the email or contact us directly at thehiddenhalofoundation@gmail.com.

3. Cookies and Site Metrics

To improve your experience, we track anonymous site metrics. We use cookies to analyze website traffic and optimize our digital presence. By accepting our use of cookies, your data is aggregated with other user data to help us understand how our community interacts with our mission.

4. How We Share and Protect Your Information

Your trust is vital to our mission.

  • No Third-Party Sharing: We are committed to keeping your information secure. Your personal data will never be shared, sold, or rented to third parties for their marketing purposes without your explicit consent.
  • Legal Protection: Our site is protected by reCAPTCHA, and Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply to those security features.

5. Media and Photo Release

Use of Likeness

By participating in Hidden Halo Foundation events—such as "Season of Halos," "Threads of Hope," or "Suds of Hope"—you acknowledge that photographs and video recordings may be taken of volunteers and participants. We use these images to share the impact of our mission, celebrate our community champions, and encourage others to get involved through our website and social media.

Your Right to Opt-Out

We respect your desire for privacy. If you do not wish to have your image (or the image of a minor in your care) used in our promotional materials, you may opt-out at any time. To do so, please:

  • Send an email to thehiddenhalofoundation@gmail.com with the subject line "Photo Opt-Out".
  • Include your full name and, if applicable, the specific event you attended.

Once received, we will make every reasonable effort to remove your image from future digital publications and refrain from using it in new print materials.

6. Your Consent

By submitting your information through our forms or using our Services, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.
