Debranna is the daughter of a veteran and a retired teacher, raised with the values of service, sacrifice, and compassion. Her lifelong passion for giving back has taken her from Katrina disaster relief and local food banks to Habitat for Humanity, the Red Cross, and international volunteer efforts. Drawing on her own experience as a GI B

Debranna is the daughter of a veteran and a retired teacher, raised with the values of service, sacrifice, and compassion. Her lifelong passion for giving back has taken her from Katrina disaster relief and local food banks to Habitat for Humanity, the Red Cross, and international volunteer efforts. Drawing on her own experience as a GI Bill recipient and VA student worker, she carries a special commitment to supporting servicewomen, servicemen, and their families. She also believes deeply in setting children up for a brighter future by removing hurdles that prevent them from thriving. Throughout her successful professional career, she has demonstrated strong leadership across various organizations, further preparing her to guide The Hidden Halo Foundation with vision and heart.Through The Hidden Halo Foundation, she is dedicated to uplifting kids, families, and veterans while building a stronger, more compassionate community for all.

Pamela Cook Tate is a retired Middle School Teacher who was employed with the Charlotte Mecklenburg School System for 23 years. She holds a BA from Western Carolina University in Speech Communications and Theatre Arts  and a minor in Radio and Television with teacher certification courses via UNC-Asheville and UNC-Charlotte.

Pamela Cook Tate is a retired Middle School Teacher who was employed with the Charlotte Mecklenburg School System for 23 years. She holds a BA from Western Carolina University in Speech Communications and Theatre Arts  and a minor in Radio and Television with teacher certification courses via UNC-Asheville and UNC-Charlotte. 

During her years in the classroom, she has witnessed the strong needs of students who are disenfranchised on many levels, and have always heeded the strong desire to help in any way possible.  She is committed to this effort for children and veterans. She is no longer teaching, but through this initiative, her desire will always be to remain a lifelong public servant.


Pamela understands the importance of students being seen and acknowledged.

It is Important to assure that students know that they are all capable of impacting their world and becoming productive and successful adults. 

Pamela strongly believes that altruism is the key to success in this world.

Cherita harnesses her legal acumen and deeply held values to provide veterans and unhoused individuals with thorough legal representation and wrap‑around assistance.

Her leadership is shaped by both empathy and professional rigor. Her long‑term volunteer service with organizations such as Thirst for Justice and Free Legal Answers demonstrates her unwavering commitment to offering accessible, dignified legal help to historically underserved communities. At Hidden Halo Foundation, Cherita builds on this legacy, delivering transformative services that protect rights, promote housing stability, and reinvigorate hope.

Jacqueline Herbert is a committed board member with a deep passion for supporting homeless children and veterans. She brings heart, vision, and advocacy to the mission of creating safe, stable futures for those most in need. Jacqueline & her husband currently own and operate a (5) bedroom boarding home for men in Charlotte. Her business / accounting background and passion for helping others has allowed her to provide affordable housing since 2010. Jacqueline is honored to serve and help lead efforts that uplift lives and strengthen communities.
